Henry – Engineer, Innovator, Builder
Henry brings decades of experience as an executive in high-tech industries, where he led engineering teams and guided product innovation from concept to market. He holds over a dozen patents and has designed complex systems for manufacturing, automation, and food processing. His most hands-on venture? Engineering and overseeing the buildout of a liquid tea manufacturing and bottling facility from the ground up.

But Henry didn’t stop at boardrooms and blueprints. Alongside Irene, he helped construct their 43-acre off-grid homestead—doing nearly all the work themselves, from framing and interior finishing to mechanical systems and infrastructure. Today, Henry’s passion is helping others master the tools, technology, and techniques of home freeze drying with the same blend of curiosity, rigor, and DIY spirit.

Irene – Food Preservation Expert, Certified Food Operator
Irene is the food safety and preservation anchor of Simply Freeze Dry. She held FDA commercial operator certifications in both acidified foods and commercial canning, credentials that supported her role as general manager of a regional liquid tea production company. With a sharp eye for quality control and a deep understanding of food safety regulations, Irene brings unmatched credibility to our guidance.

Irene also played a pivotal role in building their homestead, mastering not just canning and freeze drying but also managing complex construction projects with the same determination she brings to preserving a bushel of ripe tomatoes or troubleshooting a freeze dryer hiccup.
